Skin care around the eyes is an extremely important part of personal care. And the older we get, the more attention we pay to this particular zone. For several years now I have been using two creams at the same time: light for morning / day, as well as dense nutritious at night. Currently, these are Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream
and Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream
. I’ll tell you about them today.
Both creams are very famous and, at the same time, ambiguous, because they have both many fans and those who are not satisfied with them.Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream Moisturizing Eye Cream
With the Pep-Start series, the Clinique brand tried to attract a younger audience by creating funds in modern colorful packaging, as well as slightly lowering the average price for the product. The funds are declared as “express”, that is, they should give the result immediately.
I first tried this cream at the end of 2016, when a miniature 7ml came as a gift to one of the orders. I liked the cream so much that over time I bought a full-size version. And, to my surprise, in a large size in the package there is some ridiculous plastic ball at the end, which the cream does not distribute (if it were iron, it would be more useless), and the product spits when you close it. In general, I liked the packaging in miniature much more.
Nevertheless, the quality of the cream itself more than suits me. It is very light, watery, perfectly distributed over the skin, quickly absorbed, leaves no grease or film. Makeup (specifically, concealer) lays down on top of it perfectly, does not slip and rarely folds. The cream moisturizes the skin well, maintaining the desired level of moisture throughout the day, and in general it looks fresh and rested.
It is worth noting that the cream does not fight dark circles or wrinkles in any way (in fact, no one promised this, so I do not consider this a minus.)
In total, the cream copes with the tasks I set (moisturizing + base for makeup) perfectly, I am very pleased with it and, frankly, I do not understand why everyone disliked it so much. Now I use both the full-size version and the next miniature, which I take on trips.Estimated price:

So much good was said about this cream that I just couldn't help but try it. True, I was in no hurry with the purchase, because it was not cheap, and the age was not the same. Now I am already 31, so it's time to switch to something more nutritious and anti-aging.
Packaging reflects the cost of the product, because everything is “expensive and rich”: a heavy jar, gold in design, a spatula in addition, in a word, looks solid.
The manufacturer promises a powerful anti-age effect and the fight against five types of wrinkles in the area around the eyes.
When I read reviews about this cream, everyone noted a very dense and dense texture, like oil. Honestly, I do not think it is so dense (I had creams and thicker), although, of course, the cream is several times more knocked down than the Pep-Start described above. Distributed is also more difficult, it takes some time until it warms up and becomes more plastic. For me, this is a purely evening option, because the cream is oily and leaves some film on the skin (thanks to mineral oil and paraffin). I did not particularly notice the effects on my wrinkles, which are shallow: the cream supports everything in a certain state, but it doesn’t do better. And I was hoping for that kind of money. The benefit is at least spent slowly.
The cream gives a feeling of fullness of the skin, prevents overdrying, but does not significantly improve the situation. Either my skin is already in good condition, or it is not particularly effective. With dark circles and swelling it does nothing, but does not cause swelling.
Overall, expectations were much higher than reality. The cream is not bad, yes, but not as wonderful and irreplaceable as I heard about it. And I’m probably going to say a terrible thing now, but I liked Avon Eye Creams from the Anew series much more than this one. Yes, the same Clinique All About Eyes Riche is no worse.Estimated price:

In total, my personal opinion turned out to be the opposite of the majority opinion: I liked Clinique Pep-Start, but the Shiseido Benefiance turned out to be very overrated. Of course, I use it to the end, but I will not buy it again, because the price tag is clearly higher than the real value, and the composition could be better.
And how do you like these creams? Do you like or disappoint? And do you share eye creams for day and night?
