My acquaintances usually accompany me to Asia with the words: “bring fruit and coconut oil.” 10 years ago I brought this particular “gentleman's set” from my first trip to Thailand ... The fruits partially rotted during the flight, partially turned out to be unripe and only a few delicious mangoes were eaten in literally minutes. Coconut oil in the middle latitude turned out to be another headache: it hardens and before each use, the oil has to be melted in warm water. The hair that the sun no longer dries, it becomes oily. It is absorbed into the skin for a long time and leaves a tangible film, which is great for a swimsuit, but it is not appropriate for tights and jeans. In a word, I never used a bottle of coconut oil to the end.
By trial and error for many trips to Asia and kilograms of luggage, I made a short list of cosmetics, which, in my opinion, should be brought “as a keepsake” about Thailand.
1.Body products from Sabai arom
Coconut oil is a popular souvenir, but there is a Thai brand with body oils more enjoyable in every way. The brand is called Sabai Arom. In Boots pharmacies, brand stands have oils with excellent compositions and unrealistic odors.
Sabai Arom oils do not freeze, absorb well and nourish the skin of the body, have magical smells that last up to 4 hours in the southern heat, but in the harsh Russian climate they will be with you for no more than 10 minutes ... but they will be very pleasant 10 minutes 😍
If you don’t need oil, but you want a cool smell for body products - you should also go to the Sabai Arom stands. The brand has hand and body creams, shower gels and a lot of interesting things with natural compounds and wonderful aromas that will bring a slice of the tropics to a single bath.
2. Srichand Powders
The Srichand brand has an interesting tool for collectors. It is called " Original Srichand Translucent Powder Loose Powder " (purple box). This powder is considered something like Thai Caron. The composition and grinding of the alleged recipes of 1948. In addition, Srichand Translucent Powder is listed in the local and international cosmetic ratings of the best.
The original loose powder has only 1 color. She slightly whitens and powerfully mattifies her face. Fine grinding does not fall into the pores. In general, the powder is decent, but, as the owner of Caron, I can assure you that no, it is far from an analogue. Srichand Translucent Powder should be sparingly applied with a fan brush, so as not to whiten and matte to death face. Best of all, Srichand Translucent Powder makes friends with oily skin. Caron is intelligent and inconspicuous and less matte fatty areas.
On the other hand, a 20 g jar of Srichand Translucent Powder costs from 300 rubles (against 6,000 rubles for Caron) - why not try it.
The Srichand brand has a few more powders.
In my opinion, the most interesting is the Srichand Original Powder Mask
The manufacturer recommends mixing the powder with water (milk / juice / egg, etc.) and applying to the face as a cleansing mask.
But what I like most is to apply the Srichand Original Powder Mask with a soft barrel brush on acne. During the day, the powder dries them well and relieves inflammation.
I apply the Srichand Original Powder Mask either immediately on the inflammation or on top of the concealer. The whitening effect of the powder mask is great for masking redness. It is not necessary to apply this powder to the whole face: it is visible on the skin and noticeably dries. In swatch it looks like this
The expense, if you use Srichand Original Powder Mask locally for inflammation, is endless, the price is 100 rubles.
If you are interested, Srichand powders can be found in any mini market in Thailand.
💡 Just do not mistake: the box of my favorite powder mask is blue, the box of the "classic" is purple.
I already wrote some laudatory posts about this cosmetics.
Nitipon is a network of cosmetology clinics with its own line of cosmetics, which are produced in Korea and Thailand. The funds are characterized by a minimalistic, but effective composition and adequate cost. Cream prices start at 400 rubles and it will be a decent cream. Nitipon's approach to applying cosmetics is close to any European: wash, tonic, serum, cream. No multilayer cake of 100500 products, as Asian brands usually like. Given the low price and minimum requirements for the amount of cosmetics, you can buy a full set of Nitipon “try it” care from 1,500 rubles.
The only objective drawback of Nitipon is that almost all products have parabens. But ... it works ... In general, I respect the Nitipon clinics and their cosmetics very much and advise you to try it. For example, this antioxidant serum, which perfectly evens complexion, combines with creams and tonics of third-party brands and costs only 1000 rubles
Supplements - a medical topic - therefore, I will not recommend a dosage and the manufacturer. I will also not talk about the magical youthful properties of dietary supplements with collagen, because I did not objectively notice them. But I have a sports injury to the knee joints, so drink the collagen in the literal sense, "the doctor prescribed." Collagen helps the knees for sure: after a month's course, the joints do not crackle and do not hurt during long physical exertion.
I buy collagen in Asia, because any decent Asian pharmacy can boast an abundance of collagen supplements in all variants and forms, but in Russia there is no such abundance. In Asia, all dosage forms of collagen are on the shelves: tablets, soluble sachets, collagen drinks. You can find collagen of all types, which is obtained from different types of raw materials: from fish, from animals.
Sachets are considered the best in terms of the bioavailability - price ratio, but it makes no sense to take one pack of 10 sachets. After all, the course for "rejuvenation" takes 3 months, and in order to feel the improvement in the joints (my case), you need to take collagen for at least a month. Those. you need to buy at least 3 packages of sachets per course.
Despite the variety, my joints did not notice a difference in action between collagen of different brands. It is important for them that the dosage and type of collagen are appropriate. Therefore, when I come to the pharmacy, I choose collagen packaging at a promotional price (I especially respect the “buy 1 get 1 free” promotion), which is suitable for dosage and type. Now, for example, I’m drinking this one:
Not Thai, but worthy
In the Thai collapse of cosmetics you can find "pearls", but good decoration and care is enough in Russia. You need to understand that the local population is different in type of skin and likes quite noticeable makeup. The average Thai woman does not see anything wrong with her whitened face, noticeable blush and “tear-out” lipstick. Therefore, most budget cosmetics will be around this topic. In a local suite, finding the right makeup is easier, but it’s worth the makeup in Russia. If you really want good cosmetics that you can’t find at home, you can pay attention to the stands of the Japanese Kanebo and Shiseido and the Koreans Laniege, the History of Who and (excuse me) Ohui: there are interesting lines presented only in Asia, with decent cushions, powders, blushes, shadows and eyeliners. From time to time I graze at these stands and pamper myself with something.
But most often I buy and bring home pharmacy cosmetics Eucerin and British Soap & Glory.
Eucerin has a chic whitening line that is not aggressive to European skin, and this brand also has wonderful creams for hands and feet that can even heal cracked skin in a couple of days.
At Soap & Glory, I love body scrubs with mouth-watering scents and lip glosses.
For sim, I’m all. I would be glad if the information was useful.
